Professional Leaf Removal Service in West Linn, OR

The Real Cost of Leaving Leaves on Your Lawn

Many homeowners in West Linn, OR treat leaf accumulation as a minor aesthetic issue that can wait until convenient. In reality, allowing a heavy layer of leaves to remain on turfgrass for extended periods causes several types of measurable damage. Thick leaf mats block sunlight from reaching the grass canopy during the limited late-fall and early-winter sun hours, gradually weakening the turf's ability to store energy for spring regrowth. They also create anaerobic conditions at the soil surface by trapping moisture and blocking airflow, which promotes the development of fungal diseases including snow mold that does not become visible until turf emerges from dormancy in spring.

Kelly Landscaping's leaf removal service in West Linn, OR uses commercial-grade leaf vacuums, backpack blowers, and hand rakes to ensure complete leaf removal from every area of your property. We do not simply push leaves to the property perimeter or pile them against fences. Every leaf is collected from turf areas, garden beds, shrub borders, and hard surfaces and either bagged for municipal collection or hauled directly from the property in our trucks. We give particular attention to leaves that have accumulated under and around shrubs, in corners, and along bed edges where standard blower-only crews consistently leave material behind.

For properties with large deciduous tree populations, we recommend scheduling leaf removal in two visits: a mid-season visit in mid to late October to remove the first major leaf drop, and a final cleanup visit in late November to December after the last leaves have fallen. This two-visit approach prevents the accumulated weight and moisture of a full season's leaf drop from compressing against the soil surface and ensures clean turf going into winter dormancy. Enrolled maintenance program clients receive both visits as a scheduled component of their annual service with no additional booking required.
